Swimming pool water is predominantly disinfected by
using chlorine in its various chemical compositions.
The water sampling station
"EASYPOOL Smart" was developed for private
swimming pools - dosing of the disinfectant is done
in dependence of the REDOX value. It is used to monitor
the hygienic parameters and to ensure the dosing of
the corresponding chemicals.
Disinfection with active oxygen
A number of products which liberate active oxygen and
therefore have a disinfectant effect have become established
for chlorine-free disinfection. The advantage of products
based on active oxygen is
that they do not produce any noxious smells, an advantage
which is most evident in indoor swimming pools. The
disinfecting potential of these products is lower than
that of chlorine, for example. The
reaction time is considerably longer, but this is not
a disadvantage in the private sector, due to the hygiene
conditions normally prevailing there.
Concomitant use of an algicide is always recommended
on account of the slight depot effect. All products
and forms supplied are readily soluble. These products
are dosed over time in accordance
with the size of the swimming pool.
